Think Universal.

A grass-roots public health movement in communities across the nation

Universal Health Aid is dedicated to improving health outcomes through community-driven initiatives, free health screenings, and volunteer programs that serve all.

About Us

It began as “Help All, Serve All”

Universal Health Aid (UHA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the health and well-being of underserved communities across the United States. Our mission is rooted in the belief that quality healthcare should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their socioeconomic status.

Founded by passionate medical students and healthcare professionals, UHA has grown into a nationwide movement with chapters across multiple states. Each chapter operates independently while sharing our core values of compassion, service, and community empowerment.

Through our diverse programs—from health fairs and screenings to grocery delivery events and educational workshops—we strive to address the holistic needs of the communities we serve.

Community Collaboration

Building a grassroots movement in communities requires the work and collaboration with professionals and leaders across a variety of industries.

Education & Competency

We will instill our teams with a working sense of cultural humility so that they are equipped to meet the specific and diverse needs of different communities.

Empowerment

Successful preventative medicine relies on empowering individuals to take ownership of their health.

We are building future community leaders through the investment and development of our student volunteers.

Our Programs

The Innovation Comes From Our Chapters

Each of our chapters develops unique programs tailored to their community’s needs, creating a diverse portfolio of health initiatives across the nation.

The Health Screening & Fair is a key program in our organization. Run annually by many of our chapters, the program provides a unique opportunity for the community to walk-in and create a customized lifestyle plan that suits their needs, free of charge to the public. We believe in a holistic approach to preventive medicine. Our Universal Health Fair brings together physicians specializing in Cardiology, Dental, Gynecology, Urology, Podiatry, Gastroenterology, ENT, Ophthalmology, and many more.

Both within and separately from our Health Fairs, chapters run events specifically for students needing physicals for school or athletic participation. Led by physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and physicians, physicals are given at no cost to the public. Though physicals are for athletics or academics, they give insight to an individual's overall quality of health.

Chapters create volunteering opportunities for their members, as well as partnering with other organizations in their local community. The Columbus Chapter has a history of partnering with organizations like Safepoint, a safe syringe access program. The Ann Arbor Chapter creates programs like 'Happy Healthy Kids' to provide after-school care with the Peace Neighborhood Center.

A number of chapters have participated in providing healthy foods for individuals in their local communities. Whether through locally sponsored canned food drives, large-scale grocery delivery events, or partnering with established organizations, Universal Health Aid understands the importance diet has on one's overall quality of life. The Toledo Chapter has purchased upwards of 1,500 pounds of food for donation.
